You do not need to be an elite athlete to apply. The application is really just a chance for us to get to know you — your background, why you want to do it, and what you think you’d bring to the group.
More than anything, we’re looking for the right mindset, a sense of adventure, and a willingness to take on something pretty extraordinary.
Everything is included.
You focus on the challenge.

FAQ
-
No.
There is no podium and no prize for getting there first.
The challenge is completing the week — and helping the people around you do the same.
-
WORK WEEK is for people with a strong base level of fitness, a sense of adventure and a willingness to step outside their comfort zone. You don't need an elite endurance résumé or experience in every discipline. We're more interested in your attitude, your story and what you'll bring to the group.
-
Staying fit should already be part of your lifestyle, running the equivalent of a half marathon is the baseline.
Seven consecutive days of endurance activity place a significant demand on the body. Selected athletes will need to train consistently in the months leading into April and arrive capable of completing long days back-to-back.
-
No.
One of the central ideas behind WORK WEEK is adaptation. Some days will play to your strengths; others almost certainly won't.
You need enough confidence and physical capability to learn safely, but nobody is expected to be equally good at seven completely different sports.
-
The event runs April 5–11, 2027, but athletes should allow additional travel time immediately before and after the event.
There will also be a significant training commitment in the months leading into April.
Exact arrival and departure windows will be shared with the selected team.
-
Accommodation, ground transport, activity-specific equipment and rentals, event meals, nutrition and hydration, permits and activity fees, and on-ground support throughout the event are included in the participant experience.
Almost everything, excluding your flights.
-
Athletes arrange and pay for their travel to the start in Salt Lake City and home from Las Vegas, along with personal clothing and kit.
The final 2027 participant contribution and any fundraising commitment will be communicated clearly before a place is accepted.
-
There are only 12 places.
Selection isn't about finding the fastest 12 athletes. We look at physical readiness, attitude, motivation, life experience and what each person could bring to the group.
The goal is to create an interesting, diverse team of people capable of helping one another through the week.
-
